With the advancement of new rural construction and the improvement of living standards, more and more rural families are considering installing elevators in their houses. Rural life, fresh air and the use of household elevators to go up and down stairs are not only the dream life scenes of many people, but also the best choice for elderly care at home. So, what should we pay attention to when choosing domestic elevators for self construction?

First of all, we must clearly choose the classification of domestic elevators. At present, there are three main choices for domestic elevators: traction elevator, spiral elevator and hydraulic elevator. Screw elevator relies on the mutual movement between nuts and screws to operate the elevator car. Due to structural constraints, the operation speed is usually slow. The two-stage three screw elevator has car design, light weight and low noise. It is more suitable for the installation of duplex buildings, loft apartments and overlapping villas. Due to many problems, hydraulic elevators have almost disappeared in China and have been more widely used in factories and workshops. However, the traction elevator is pulled by the traction host, the car and counterweight are balanced, the operation is stable, the technology is mature, energy-saving and efficient. However, there are higher requirements for civil engineering dimensions: pit depth, top floor height and well width depth. Self built houses generally reserve and install elevators with sufficient size and pit depth, so traction elevators are most suitable for installation.

After selecting the type of elevator to be installed, the owner can contact the technicians of the elevator manufacturer to design the elevator shaft at the beginning of the building, because the elevator shaft is built at the same time as the house. Generally speaking, according to the technical capacity of the manufacturer, the pit depth of the traction elevator is required to be between 150mm and 450mm, and the height of the top floor is required to be more than 2500mm. It should be noted here that the pit should be well waterproof. As the depth of domestic elevators is special-shaped, as long as the car area does not exceed 1.6 square meters, the width and depth of hoistway can be matched arbitrarily according to needs. At the same time, according to the guidance of the manufacturer’s technicians, determine the position and size of the ring beam, door head beam, sill beam and main frame beam in the hoistway. After the elevator shaft is completed, contact the manufacturer’s technicians to check the size of the door, and then arrange the production and installation of the elevator.

After the shaft size is determined, the door opening method, counterweight method, interior decoration, etc. It can be determined by the manufacturer. According to the principle of convenient use, the door opening mode of household elevator is selected in the order of automatic door division, side door and manual sliding door. Generally speaking, it is most convenient for an elevator to open a door with a width of 700 mm or more. For 700 mm wide doors, automatic separation doors have the highest requirements for shaft width. If 1550 or higher is required, the side door can be selected from 1300 to 1500. If the width of the elevator shaft is less than 1300, select the manual sliding door design. Determine car decoration, such as hair stainless steel, mirror etched stainless steel, titanium, rose gold, solid wood, etc.

In the middle and later stage of decoration, the elevator can enter the site for installation. Generally, enter the site about one week after installation, and then decorate the door stone and door cover at the elevator door. In order to avoid collision with the elevator when carrying heavy objects during decoration after installation, the elevator manufacturer usually moves the car to the top floor, then cuts off the power supply and locks the elevator. After the decoration is completed, when the owner moves in, he will contact the manufacturer to open the elevator and start using it. Generally speaking, after the elevator is installed, the regular manufacturer will have a maintenance free period of 30-50 days for decoration. Only after the owners move in, they begin to enter the normal maintenance and warranty process.
